Orkney Beremeal Biscuits

These Beremeal biscuits made by the Orkney Bakery are a lovely traditional biscuit. Invented in the 90's, these biscuits have stood the test of time and continue to be a favourite among the locals of Orkney.

Bere is an ancient form of barley, only found in Orkney, and has been used in baking across the islands for over 300 years. A must try when sampling what our islands have to offer.
